Facial Skin
Our facial skin is particularly reactive to environmental and emotional stimuli. Erythema from a glass of wine or hyperemia from being exposed to steam can be a symptom of rosacea. Lupus, although an autoimmune disease, can cause a “butterfly” rash. Cosmetic dermatitis can be linked to the way we use products on the face and body. Acneic skin can be aggravated by a vicious cycle of over-cleansing /misused makeup /under moisturizing, although it can be related to stress and hormones. The many different signs of circulation, or lack of it, can provide information of what is deeper in the body.
