Frequently Asked Questions

The Sublime™ treatment combines safe and effective levels of infrared light and bipolar radiofrequency energies to remodel the dermal layer of the skin by stimulating new collagen growth. Both laser and radiofrequency have been used separately for decades in medicine and surgery, but the Sublime™ exclusively combines infrared light and bipolar radio-frequency energy for ideal treatment outcomes with a very low risk of side effects and virtually no down-time.

Striae or stretch marks are areas of skin that look like bands, stripes, or lines. They first appear as reddish or purple lines, but tend to gradually fade to a lighter range. Striae are always initiated by stretch whether the stretch is excessive or minimal; spontaneous striae do not occur. Striae may result from a number of causes, including, but not limited to, rapid changes in weight, adolescent growth spurts, corticosteroid use or Cushing Syndrome, and generally appear on the buttocks, thighs, knees, calves or lumbosacral areas. In addition, approximately 90% of all pregnant women develop stretch marks either on their breasts and/or abdomen by the third trimester.

The combined bi-polar radio frequency and light energies of elo?s technology precisely and safely target pigmented lesions such as freckles, sun spots and age spots.

What are the cleaning guidelines for the disposable treatment tips?

Acne occurs when a sebaceous oil gland surrounding a hair follicle becomes clogged with oil and dead skin cells. Bacteria growth in this clogged environment causes infection and acne blemishes. The combined bi-polar radio frequency and blue light energies of el?s technology penetrate the skin to precisely target and destroy active acne-causing bacteria, while also slowing excessive sebaceous oil production. Treatment helps in reducing active acne and speeds up healing time of existing acne.

During treatment, many patients feel a warm, prickly sensation as energy enters their skin. After treatment a pink or red “sunburn” appearance and feeling is also common. Topical anesthetic ointments and cooling are often used to reduce discomfort during treatment.

Post treatment, they may notice tone and texture improvements as a result of increased levels of beneficial collagen and new healthy skin cells which are produced. Typical treatment protocol is 3 – 5 treatments, 4 – 6 weeks apart. The total number of required treatment sessions depends on the skin condition of the patient.

Treatment is a safe and effective solution for all skin types.

The ergonomic Sublative™ applicator delivers bipolar radio frequency energy via a matrix of 64 electrodes in the disposable applicator tip. The RF energy generates fractional deep dermal heating in the region of the electrode matrix to induce skin injury, thus eliciting a wound healing response. Striae and acne scars as well as mild to moderate wrinkles and superficial skin discoloration are reduced, and skin texture becomes more smooth and elastic.

Treatment times may vary depending on your specific needs. Hair growth is reduced after each treatment and the number of treatments required will be based on your hair color and type, body area and skin tone.

Avoid sun exposure at least two weeks before treatment. Do not bleach, pluck or wax 4 to 6 weeks before and after treatment. Wait for tanned skin to fade before beginning treatment.

Candela’s Laser Hair Removal treatments use a patented Dynamic Cooling Device™ (DCD™), which prepares the skin for treatment by spraying the upper layer with a cooling burst of cryogen in adjustable durations—milliseconds before the laser pulse. DCD helps ensure that the treatments are as comfortable as they are effective.

Laser energy is delivered through a small handpiece operated by your practitioner. The laser delivers an intense beam of light, which is absorbed by the skin and converted to heat. The heat is then absorbed by the cells being targeted, while the surrounding tissue remains unaffected. Your skin may be slightly red immediately following the procedure. This typically lasts from a few minutes to several hours after the procedure.

Laser and light-based treatments have been safely used for many years for a variety of medical and cosmetic procedures.

We use the GentleYag (1064nm) from Candela to treat patients with acne. It’s a very powerful laser manufactured by Candela, an old and reputable energy device company with presence in over 100 countries.

The laser acne treatment consists of weekly passes of the laser on the skin to be treated until a temperature of 40-45 degrees Celcius is reached. We can combine it with peels and facial products for a more effective result. The heat that is comfortably generated (precisely to 40-45 degrees Celsius) actually refrains the P-Acne (bacteria) and calms down the sebaceous glands which produce the oil.

As with all our procedures, an evaluation is performed prior to the treatment. During this evaluation, the treatment path is desgined along with the number of sessions and aggressiveness of methodologies. Every person is different, so each pathway will according to the conditions existent in the skin.

Our patients can expect to see a noticeable quick improvement after their first treatment but will need several sessions to get the best results. Realistic expectations can be anywhere from 30% – 70% improvement with sometimes as high as 50% just after the 1st acne treatment.

Everyone’s skin is different so to provide proper clinically and ethically accurate direction can be challenging until the first treatment is completed and efficacy can be gauged from there.

Patients require multiple treatments to get the desired results. On average, it is recommended the patient be treated every week for 4 weeks. Additional acne treatments can be determined with the provider if necessary.

Pricing is generally set at $175 per session, but we bundle it at a discount for a package of 4 sessions when bought as such.

Yes. Advise is to be sure to drink at least 8 ounces of water (preferably filtered) immediately after the treatment. This will help ‘flush’ the toxins and impurities from the skin and body that have been stimulated from the treatment. Because the support cream now also has an electrical current, recommend that they do not wash their face for at least 2 – 6 hours after the treatment because the support cream is still working to stimulate their skin a bit. Ask them to drink 8 – 16 ounces of water starting a couple hours before their next appointment to help hydrate the skin. This can provide a better result since water is a conductor. It is best to tell the client not to use any type of ‘oily’ cream as that causes a barrier and less conductivity.

None. Not only is our treatment painless, but clients look forward to the relaxing experience. Our waveforms are very inducing, and many fall asleep during the session. Afterwards clients feel euphoric as though the just experienced the most fantastic hour-long massage; however, 15-20 minutes later, they describe themselves as feeling invigorated and alert. Beautiful Image Facial Sculpting does not rely upon a thermal energy source like a laser. There is no inflammation or redness, no need to heal before seeing results, and absolutely no downtime. Just reapply makeup and go on with your day. Many procedures using lasers advertise themselves as “lunchtime facelifts” requiring no downtime, but who wants to resume their day with a red swollen face? Microcurrent facial treatments are by far the safest and most effective non-surgical treatment available today.

Microneedling is an innovation in aesthetic medicine for treating the appearance of fine lines, acne scars, and improvement of the skin’s overall appearance. The device uses very fine needles to break down old scar tissue and create tiny wounds. The body responds by creating collagen and elastin, making the skin fuller and smoother.

Microneedling improves the appearance of the skin by reducing acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles, sagging skin, stretch marks, and hyper-pigmentation.

After the treatment, most patients experience redness and mild swelling, similar to a mild sunburn, for 24-48 hours.

Within a week of treatment, most patients notice a glow to their skin, and increased smoothness. Results will continue to improve for several months as the skin produces collagen. Full results may take up to 6 months.
